Outdoor Imam Dawood Yasin is an experienced outdoorsman, skilled hunter, and expert wellness mentor with years of leading outdoor experiences. Known for the hijrah walk from Makkah to Al-Madinah, bow hunting, archery and fishing, Imam Dawood + the Muslim Man Camp will deliver an unforgettable experience inshaa’Allah.
The Muslim Man Camp 101 is a factory that manufactures men with physical, psychological and emotional skills to lead families, communities and the ummah as a whole. By spending time in Allah’s natural world and learning primordial survival skills, graduates of this camp will be able to survive the modern challenges of life and tests of faith. Camp activities include:
- Camping in tents for 2 nights
- Prophetic manhood lessons
- Preparing and cooking meals
- Outdoor survival skills-shelter, fire, food, safety and other daily activities
- Gathering and splitting wood
- Mental and physical conditioning in the outdoors
- Hiking and woodsmanship, understanding signs, sounds and smells of the outdoors
- Compass reading and natural navigation
- Plant and tree ID, reading hunting sign
- ‘Ibadah in Allah’s global masjid: determining prayer timings, qiblah direction, making wudhu and prayer in the outdoors
- Fishing, cleaning and cooking your catch
- Survival bow and arrow
- Archery practice and competitions
- Essential knots and survival tool skills
- Animal slaughter and butchering skills (zabiha)
- Hunting 101 education
- Outdoor games and competitions
All food, tents and supplies will be provided. Each camper will receive a survival kit and Muslim Man Camp shirt.

As an outdoor enthusiast and my love for nature and exploration, I give this experience a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend Muslim Man Camp to anyone who is willing and able. Humza and his family put in time, effort and dedication in making sure everyone had a great experience on a number of activities and made sure everyone went home with a safe and fun experience that will be remember long into the future inshallah. Alhamdulillah, this was an absolutely amazing experience and easily a 10/10 for me. Camp was so much more than just a weekend outdoors. It was a great combination of brotherhood, Islamic reminders, learning practical outdoor and survival skills, challenging ourselves, and simply having a great time together.
Imam Dawood, an incredible outdoorsman, shared his knowledge and experiences in such a genuine, down-to-earth way, blending real-life experiences and spirituality into what he refers to as “experiential tawheed.”
Br. Humza, his generous family, Uncle Hassan, and everyone involved clearly put a tremendous amount of time and effort into making the weekend run smoothly and making everyone feel welcome.
My favorite part was the brotherhood, camaraderie, and friendly rivalry that seemed to develop overnight. I’m also glad my team didn’t take any shortcuts. 😉
The activities were fun, the environment was beautiful, and throughout the weekend there was a great balance between enjoying the outdoors and remembering why we were there as Muslim men. I would highly recommend Muslim Man Camp to anyone who has the opportunity to attend.

The balance between practical survival skills—like archery, learning how to handle and use an axe properly—and the spiritual reminders were top-notch. Honestly, Muslim Man Camp was a 10/5. Hands down one of the most fulfilling weekends I have had in a long time.
The weekend perfectly balanced practical survival skills, deep brotherhood, and spiritual growth with a sprinkling of friendly competitions. The weekend was packed with activities, including building survival bows, hiking, archery, fishing, wood chopping, and learning how to find the Qiblah and track prayer times outdoors using nature. The adventure started on day one after a torrential downpour when we learned how to get a fire going using wet logs.
Coach Humza and Imam Dawood were phenomenal instructors who kept every session engaging and meaningful. Brother Hassan was an exceptionally warm host. Our hosts made us feel like family, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
I came away with new skills, amazing memories, and lifelong bonds with the other brothers. Looking forward to another Muslim Man Camp in the future!
